Olive People launches Executive Training on financing strategies and partnerships in Brazzaville, Rep of Congo.

How do organizations turn promising ideas into projects that partners, funders and investors are prepared to support?

From 23 to 27 November 2026, Olive People will bring together a small cohort of professionals in Brazzaville for a five-day Executive Training on Financing Strategies & Partnerships for High-Impact Projects.

The programme responds to a challenge we encounter across businesses, public institutions, universities, NGOs, and development organizations: good projects do not advance on technical merit alone. They also require the ability to understand financing ecosystems, build credible propositions, identify the right partners and bring different stakeholders around a common objective.

From projects to partnerships

Designed for a small group of participants, the programme combines expert-led learning, practical work on real projects, peer exchange and interaction with actors from the financing and partnership ecosystem.

Participants will strengthen their ability to:

  • Structure projects with a clearer financing and partnership strategy

  • Understand how funders, investors and institutional partners assess opportunities

  • Identify relevant sources and mechanisms of financing

  • Develop stronger funding and partnership propositions

  • Build relationships across the private, public and development sectors

  • Translate learning into an actionable strategy for their own organization or project

The programme will be led by Professor Baudouin Michel, drawing on four decades of experience across international development, the private sector, academia, public-private partnerships and major institutions in Africa.

It will also connect participants with complementary perspectives from practitioners working in investment, finance and institutional partnerships.

Why Brazzaville?

Brazzaville, the capital city of the Republic of Congo, sits at the intersection of several of the transformations shaping Central Africa: economic diversification, sustainable management of natural resources, infrastructure development, conservation, entrepreneurship and the search for new forms of public-private and development partnership.

For Olive People, that makes the city more than the location of the programme. The surrounding ecosystem becomes part of the learning experience.

The Executive Training builds on Olive People’s growing work at the intersection of skills, organizations and strategic partnerships: helping institutions develop not only stronger people, but also the capabilities and relationships required to turn ambitions into implementation.
