Olive People's Workforce Development Model Selected by Egypt Energy Show 2027

Olive People's Founder, Patrick Gaincko, has had his technical abstract, “From Recruitment to Workforce Ecosystems: A Systems Approach to Talent Development for Emerging Energy Markets,” selected as a reserve presentation for the Egypt Energy Show 2027 Technical Conference.

The paper addresses a critical challenge facing Africa's energy industry: persistent shortages of qualified talent despite the continent's young and growing population and expanding educational opportunities.

Drawing on practical experience across agriculture, agrifood, higher education and mining, the paper introduces an integrated workforce development ecosystem model connecting industry demand, education, career awareness, workplace readiness, innovation and talent pipeline management.

The proposed approach moves beyond conventional recruitment strategies to examine how companies, educational institutions and other stakeholders can collaboratively develop sustainable pipelines of technically and operationally ready talent.

Its potential applications extend to the energy sector, where workforce development, local talent requirements and the energy transition call for increasingly integrated solutions.

The selection reflects growing interest in ecosystem-based approaches to addressing industrial workforce challenges in Africa and emerging markets.
