Olive People and Université Senghor Partner to Strengthen University–Industry Collaboration in Africa

Olive People is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Université Senghor, the international university operating under the auspices of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) based in Alexandria, Egypt.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening university–industry collaboration and supporting sustainable development across Africa.

Earlier this year, Université Senghor inaugurated its new campus in Alexandria in the presence of the Presidents of Egypt and France, underscoring the University's growing strategic role in developing the next generation of African leaders.

The inauguration of Université Senghor's new campus by Presidents Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Emmanuel Macron marked the beginning of a new phase of expansion.

The collaboration also aligns with Université Senghor's 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, which places particular emphasis on employability, public-private partnerships, entrepreneurship, innovation, artificial intelligence, international cooperation and sustainable development. As the University enters a new phase of expansion, the partnership aims to help translate these strategic priorities into concrete initiatives that connect students, employers and institutions.

For Olive People, this partnership represents an important milestone in its mission to bridge education and the labour market. The collaboration seeks to strengthen institutional capacity, facilitate meaningful engagement between academia and employers, and contribute to building ecosystems where skills, innovation and partnerships create lasting impact.

As African universities continue to redefine their role beyond teaching and research, partnerships such as this illustrate how higher education institutions can become catalysts for innovation, talent development and sustainable economic transformation.
